Thankful
God has been so good to us this year!
I am thankful most of all for God, who sent His Son to die for our sins.
For my parents....who have loved me through all the rough spots and didn't give up on me during the hard times!
For our church....the preaching and teaching, the people, and the opportunity to be in choir!
For my extended family!
For the good times and bad that have forced us to look to the Lord and not ourselves for help and encouragement!
Thank You, Lord.

Off-topic developments
We have 3 chickens for pets (and now for eggs!) This is my Ameraucana hen just a few minutes after laying her very first egg! We raised our chickens from tiny, fuzzy chicks, and it is so satisfying to begin reaping the fruits of our labor. :)Saturday, July 4, 2009
Update on Christy
I have a good update on my cousin, Christy!
She had her surgery a little over 2 weeks ago. The mass turned out to be a fluid-filled cyst, with the walls of the cyst containing breast cancer cells. The fluid was removed, and she will receive radiation therapy to get rid of the cancer cells.
Thank you for your prayers! Please continue to pray that she will keep recovering at a steady pace, and that she tolerates the radiation well.

Prayer Request
I have a prayer request for my cousin, Christy.
To give some background, Christy was diagnosed with breast cancer in late 2006. It spread to her liver, but thankfully the chemo and radiation arrested those spots. She has been healthy ever since May of 2007.
In the last 4-5 weeks, she complained of a headache that wouldn't go away. After her doctor telling her that she had sinus problems, she tried some medicine for that. It didn't help. She insisted on an MRI, and had that last Wednesday. Today, she got the results. The MRI showed a mass in her brain. Obviously this is not good news. The doctors are now determining what kind of mass it is, and what kind of treatment to use on it.
Please pray that whatever this is, that it would be able to be cured. Christy is the mom of Macie, who you will remember was severely injured a few months ago, and who pulled through only by the grace of God. (Macie is doing wonderfully now, by the way!) This little girl needs her mommy!

Baby John Edward
Little John Edward Peacock passed away last night, at the age of 7 months. Please pray for his mom and dad, as well as his older brother, William, as they walk through this valley of sadness and pain.
